“Positive Outcome Protocol”

What is a Positive Outcome Protocol and How Can it Help Your Journey Toward Wellbeing?

First, I'd like to break down the three words, "Positive - Outcome - Protocol."

Positive: My goal is to work with each client every step of the way, always keeping the most important thing in mind ... my client’s wellbeing. What does wellbeing mean? First of all, wellbeing means my client is moving onto new paths of physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually positive accomplishments. Positive accomplishments are unique to each and every individual. Every individual has a unique perspective. What is positive to one person may not be positive to another. Having a positive perspective includes being optimistic and confident, showing pleasing progress, gain, or improvement. It can also mean moving toward one's goals, accomplishing one's goals, overcoming mental, emotional, physical, and/or spiritual challenges. And it can even be letting go of struggle.

Outcome: Outcome is the result. My desire is that each client obtains a positive outcome. In addition to always desiring the best for my clients, the focus is always on the positive outcome. Each client has many goals in life. Some goals are based on happiness, fun, joy, or achievements in school, sports, relationships, family, and more. Some are based on needs such as feeding their family, getting good grades in school, eating healthier, exercising, and having good boundaries. Needs are often less pleasant than goals. Goals are generally what one desires ... wants, whereas needs can be as serious as fighting for one’s life facing cancer or some other illness, emotional challenges regarding a mental illness, going through the grieving process after the loss of a loved one, and so many more. A complete positive outcome is only obtainable when the body, mind, and the spirit of a person are working in harmony. A person can have a partial positive outcome but needs help in the areas that are not positive, such as when the patient is healed of a disease yet the treatment has left the patient in a state of stress, or negative life changes, and/or emotional crisis. In these kinds of situations it would be my desire to see the client focus on obtaining a positive outcome over those negative side effects as well.

Protocol: The protocol is each client’s uniquely individualized plan. The protocol is developed by carefully and passionately listening to each client, asking questions, and understanding and sharing feelings, wants, and needs. It is a matter of deep empathy, and clearly understanding the goals of my client. When the goals are understood, I draft a written protocol and share it with my client to insure that the goals as I understand them are exactly what my client desires.

Once the goals are clear, a protocol using a variety of methods is developed for my client. Each client is different. Because of this, no two protocols are the same. Each element in the protocol must specifically be created for the individual's wants or needs. For example, one client my want to be #1 one the Dean's List, not #2, whereas another client may want to simply have better study habits so they can graduate from high school. A client may want to better their tennis score, while another wants to become more creative in the arts. For every situation in life, there are protocols. Some take you to your goal, some pull you away. Most of us need a mentor, coach, teacher and the like to get to the top. Your number one teacher is your subconscious mind. When you train it to do what you desire, it follows your commands. This is why Olympic trainers use hypnosis for their athletes, and why it is used to eliminate pain in surgery, as two examples. Your subconscious mind controls your body and your conscious mind when it is given the correct instructions to do so.

Likewise, a protocol for a person with high blood pressure is far different than the protocol for a person with stage 4 cancer. The person with high blood pressure would most likely need a protocol that would help them change bad habits that are contributing to their problem, often stress-related. The person with stage 4 cancer may have goals that primarily have to do with emotional stress based on fear, and that emotional stress is hindering their body from being in harmony with the treatment.

My practice is based on the Mind, Body, and Spirit Connection. The Mind, Body, and Spirit Connection is where all three elements are working in harmony with each other. If they are not in harmony they are in a state of DIS-EASE. Disease is not always visible. Stress is a major factor that causes disease. Illness often follows a stressful period in one's life. Perhaps the ultimate example of this is Broken Heart Syndrome. This is when one's loved one dies, and the spouse dies shortly after. There may have been nothing physically wrong with the spouse, other than a broken heart, but being consumed with that stress causes chemical changes to take place in the body. These changes can lower immune function, among other things. With the negative changes in the body, the body starts to fail. On the other hand, the surviving partner can live a long and happy life if positive goals were in place before their loss, often a promise made between partners that the other will continue to be happy. This can also be obtained through hypnosis.

Body, Mind, and Spirit Connection
With the use of one or more of the methods listed above, you learn how your body and mind work together. I show you how to get your body in harmony with your medical treatment or therapy treatment, stress-related and emotional problems, life challenges, and even your hopes, dreams, wants, and needs. Relaxation, meditation, mindfulness techniques, and confidence-building also play important roles in improving quality of life. My desire is for you to have exciting new goals and positive outcomes.

As an example, if you are going to receive cancer treatment, you would most likely heal better and more quickly if you didn't fight the treatment. Fear causes one to fight or push away. I teach my clients how to be in harmony with their doctors, their treatment plan, and with their entire body. This allows the patient to team up with the treatment — working with it, not against. The body knows how to heal. That information is programmed at conception in the subconscious mind. One does not need to tell a cut finger how to heal. Your body knows how to heal. When the illness is severe enough to require surgery, chemotherapy, etc., the role of the mind is vital to healing. If the mind is too anxious, afraid, or in a state of giving up, the support systems in the body, such as the immune system, are compromised and the person has a much bigger challenge. A perfect example of how the body is affected by the mind is the Broken Heart Syndrome. The Broken Heart Syndrome is when a person dies of grief shortly after losing their spouse. Their sadness affected their body chemistry. When the mind is sad, or afraid, or in a state of anxiety or shock, it reduces — or stops entirely — sending healing messages to the body. This can negatively impact the immune system and change the body's chemistry, adding stress hormones like cortisol. On the other hand, if the surviving spouse had a strong desire to live, and had a clear understanding of the wish of their loved one to continue living and be happy, the surviving spouse could go on to live a long and happy life. Being healthy and happy is often a decision, and a decision is simply thought. We all have the ability to change our patterns. We can let ourselves fall into a state of turmoil and depression, and thus give up, or we can program or train our subconscious mind to be positive, happy, healthy, and to live a quality life of wellbeing. A happier person has a much better chance to live a longer life than one who is depressed or angry. My goal and desire is your wellbeing … your happiness.

Learning how to tap into your inner being and your subconscious mind to activate the positive attributes within you can help you heal from physical or emotional illness. Exploring the hidden positive gifts within you can additionally help you replace anything you don't want in your life with your positive hopes, desires, and goals, thus improving your quality of life. You can even learn to have a fun and rewarding life by changing your negative patterns to a path of wellbeing.

You Are the Cure!
You are the cure! Your Subconscious Mind holds the answers. Hypnosis is the Key that opens the door and lets you into your Subconscious Mind. Hypnosis is not the Doctor, Dentist, Coach, or Cure, but is the Key to Your Mind, Body, and Spirit. -- Gabriel Petersen

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique is a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). EFT and similar techniques are often discussed under the umbrella term " energy psychology." EFT may be used to treat a wide variety of physical and psychological disorders, and as a simple form of self-administered therapy.

Coaching
Coaching is the profession and science of counseling and encouraging my client — or my client and their family — on matters having to do with personal or career challenges or changes. The goal is to help you achieve positive results with a positive outcome in health, wellness, and wellbeing. Coaching can cover one or more areas with each client.

Health and Wellness
Maximize the success of a medical procedure by harmonizing your subconscious mind with your body, mind, and medical doctor, clinical therapist, and/or other practitioner of complementary or alternative medicine. Health coaching is becoming recognized as a new way to help individuals " manage" their illnesses and conditions, especially those of a chronic nature. I will use special techniques, personal experience, expertise and encouragement to assist you in bringing about your desired behavioral changes, while aiming for lowered health risks and decreased health-care costs. The National Society of Health Coaches (NSHC) has differentiated the term health coach from wellness coach. According to the NSHC, health coaches are qualified " to guide those with acute or chronic conditions and/or moderate to high health risk," and wellness coaches provide guidance and inspiration " to otherwise ' healthy' individuals who desire to maintain or improve their overall general health status."

Addictions
Developing good routines such as exercise and eating healthy foods; overcoming addictions to cigarettes, overeating, TV, computer games, gambling, sex, shopping, and any of the dozens of others.

Coaching is also utilized for career development, developing good work or study habits, helping one to find pathways for bettering themselves in sports, music, the arts, becoming less isolated, meeting new friends, finding one's creative side, learning how to meditate, practicing the science of mindfulness, and just about anything one wants to either eliminate or obtain in their life.

Meditation, Mindfulness, Relaxation, and Stress Reduction
Most likely every doctor, every kind of practitioner, major corporations, and most people are now keenly aware of the positive, life-rewarding attributes of being happy, peaceful, and free from unhealthy stress. It is common knowledge that disease comes from DIS-EASE, not being at ease. Everyone's doctor will at the very least recommend that their patient takes walks, soaks up some sunshine, gets out in nature, laughs, and takes time every day to relax. They will also tell some of their patients that if they refuse, they will almost certainly have a heart attack. Stress kills. On the other hand, being calm, peaceful, relaxed, and stress-free is healing. So it only makes perfect sense that no matter why a client wants me to help them change their life, every client receives the hugely beneficial gift of learning what mindfulness is, how it works and — most importantly — how to practice it. Every client receives lots of tips, videos, audios, and other materials that put them on the path to wellbeing. You will at once start to be less bombarded by past memories, and future fears, as you start to wake up to the precious gift you were given ... and that gift is YOU! Learning to see clearly by being in the moment and relaxed is Your Key to Wellbeing!
