Debilitating Breathing Attacks I Could Not Control
But Then I Was Given the Key to Wellbeing and I Have Never Had a Breathing Attack Again
My Letter to You
How Hypnosis Changed My Life
I want to share my story with you to explain why hypnosis works so incredibly well. It changed my life in just about every way, and I’d like to show you how it will help you change your life, too.
I sat in the passenger seat of my friend’s car, while she drove down a beautiful road in California wine country—and then the fear came over me. Another nightmare breathing attack had started. "Oh no, not again, please, not now!" My friend Suzette, a highly educated and skilled hypnotherapist immediately saw what was happening. She reassured me, "You’ll be Ok, and it’s not serious. You’re just short of breath. I'll show you right now how you can make this go away." I thought Suzette might be a little delusional, and I wondered to myself, "How do I say no to Suzette without hurting her feelings?" But I allowed myself to let go of my doubt and disbelief. I closed my eyes as she suggested. She started speaking in a soft voice. With a few special words she shared with me, she showed me how to let go of the near paralysis in my lungs. In just a few minutes I was easily breathing and the fear was gone.
From that day on, I was forever healed of that nightmarish combination of asphyxiation and fear. After so many years of feeling that this would never go away, I marveled at the miracle of my new life. But in remembering what Suzette had asked me to do, I realized that just one session of hypnosis—provided by a highly skilled hypnotherapist—had allowed my subconscious mind to finally communicate with my body. This is what is called the Mind-Body Connection. My lungs were told to not continue with this old pattern, and with that, I was healed, and my life was given back to me.
I knew I had to find out why hypnosis worked. I had to know what it is. I wanted to help others heal and be happy as well. It dramatically changed everything in my life--my health, my happiness, my desire to be alive, and accomplish wonderful things...everything. I put my 25 year-old publishing company on hold, and went back to school to become a certified hypnotherapist so I, too could help others. I graduated with many certifications in the field of Clinical and Medical Hypnotherapy, and in a variety of integrated therapy modalities as well. My life today is wonderful. I want to share my story with you in the pages to follow, and I want to share with you how hypnotherapy will change your life as well.
